Waiver, Assumption of Risk & Terms of Use
Please read the following information before participating in any Reset by Mickys session.
By completing a booking, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
Waiver & Assumption of Risk
This Waiver & Assumption of Risk (“Agreement”) applies to all customers and guests using the facilities and services provided by Reset by Mickys Pty Ltd (“Reset”, “we”, “us”). By booking, accessing, or using the Reset facilities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.
1. Voluntary Participation
Participation in sauna, cold plunge, and contrast therapy activities is entirely voluntary and undertaken at your own risk. You acknowledge that these activities involve exposure to heat, cold, wet surfaces, and physical stress that may result in injury, illness, discomfort, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, burns, slips, falls, or aggravation of existing medical conditions.
2. Health Acknowledgment
You confirm that you are physically capable of participating and that you are responsible for monitoring your own condition during use of the facilities.
You acknowledge that sauna and cold exposure may not be suitable during pregnancy and agree to seek medical advice before participating if pregnant or potentially pregnant.
You must not use the facilities if you:
Have consumed alcohol or recreational drugs
Are experiencing illness, dizziness, nausea, faintness, chest pain, or distress
Have a medical condition that may be aggravated by heat or cold exposure without prior medical advice
Reset does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
3. Self-Guided Use
Reset operates as a self-guided wellness and recovery facility. Sessions are not medically supervised. Customers are responsible for monitoring their own wellbeing and stopping participation immediately if feeling unwell.
Remote monitoring systems, CCTV, and emergency response measures do not constitute medical supervision or real-time observation of customers inside the therapy room.
4. Participant Responsibilities
Participants agree to:
Follow all posted house rules and safety instructions
Shower before entering the cold plunge
Use equipment respectfully and as intended
Remain hydrated before, during, and after sessions
Use the emergency assistance systems if required
Leave the facilities safely and responsibly if participation is discontinued
Appropriate footwear such as sandals/thongs is recommended when moving through wet areas. Participants acknowledge that wet surfaces may become slippery.
5. Access & Guest Responsibility
Access is provided through a unique smart-lock code associated with each booking. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access code and for the conduct of any guest attending under your booking.
Unauthorised sharing of access codes or misuse of the facilities may result in immediate termination of access without refund.
6. Prohibited Conduct
The following are prohibited:
Use while intoxicated
Glass containers inside the facility
Food inside the sauna or cold plunge area
Dangerous, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour
Recording or photographing other guests
Reset reserves the right to revoke access or terminate sessions where unsafe behaviour or breaches of these conditions are identified.
7. Emergency Procedures
An emergency alert system is available onsite. In an emergency, participants should activate the emergency button and/or contact emergency services on 000.
Customers must not continue participation if feeling dizzy, faint, nauseous, distressed, or otherwise unwell.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, you release and discharge Reset by Mickys Pty Ltd, its owners, staff, contractors, and affiliates from liability arising from injury, loss, damage, or claims connected with your participation in the facilities and services, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Privacy & CCTV
CCTV monitoring is used in external access and entry areas for security and operational purposes. No cameras are installed inside the therapy room.
Your booking and personal information are handled in accordance with Australian privacy laws and Reset’s Privacy Policy.
10. Digital Acknowledgment
By completing the booking acknowledgment process, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Waiver & Assumption of Risk.
